COLUMBIA, S.C. (Feb. 12, 2020) – The Milligan College men's basketball team fell on the road Wednesday night against Appalachian Athletic Conference member Columbia International University, with a final score of 79-48.
A poor first half inevitably became Milligan's demise as the Buffs went into the second half with only 16 points. The Buffs were 6-for-28 in field goals. CIU jumped out with a 20-5 run and never lost the lead the entire game.
In the second half CIU was able to extend their lead all the way out to 34 and Milligan was never able to cut down the lead.
Freshman Micah Paulk led the Buffs with 12 points off 5-for-8 shooting. Tyler Nichols was next with 10 points and Desean Green had 11 boards.
Up next, Milligan will return home and face Union College on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 4 p.m. After that the Buffs have one more home game left against St. Andrews on Feb. 22.
