Buffs drop exhibition game at ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 15, 2019) – The Milligan College men's basketball team traveled the short distance to East Tennessee State University Sunday afternoon and fell to the Buccaneers 97-41 in an exhibition game at Freedom Hall.
Freshman Micah Paulk led a group of eight Buffs in the scoring column with eight points. Matt Cole, Nathan Hastings and Adam Graham all followed with seven apiece, and Tyler Nichols scored six. Mike Featherston had another big day on the glass, posting a team high seven rebounds.
The game was tied 6-6 before a 14-0 run put ETSU into the lead for good, and the lead remained double figures the rest of the way.
Up next, Milligan plays one more exhibition game over the break at Mercer on Saturday, Dec. 28. The Buffs will then return to regular-season play in 2020 with a road game at St. Andrews University Thursday, Jan. 2.
