Buffs fall to WVU Tech in Kingsport

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (Dec. 1, 2019) – The Milligan College men's basketball team fell to WVU Tech 81-62 Sunday afternoon at the NAIA Division II Showcase in Kingsport, Tennessee.
WVU led the entire game and by as many as 29 points at one point during the second half. The Bears had a 19-point lead going into the second half, but the Buffs were able to match WVU's shots in the second half with each team scoring 39 points.
Milligan was led by senior Nathan Hastings with 13 points and six rebounds off the bench. Tyler Nichols and Mike Featherston were behind Hastings with nine points apiece. Milligan's bench combined for a total of 30 points.
Up next the Buffs will have two Appalachian Athletic Conference matchups this upcoming week with Kentucky Christian University on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 7:30 p.m. and Bryan College on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m.
