Cycling ties for fifth at CX Nationals
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (December 7, 2023) – The Milligan University cycling team tied for fifth place at the USA Collegiate Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in Louisville on Thursday and Friday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (December 7, 2023) – The Milligan University cycling team tied for fifth place at the USA Collegiate Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in Louisville on Thursday and Friday.
Brody McDonald led the Buffs with a ninth-place finish in the men's race. Trevor August (16th) and Elijah Johnson (23rd) joined McDonald with top-25 placements.
Samantha Clark paced Milligan's women in 12th place. Genevieve Plum (12th) and Miriam Zeise (29th) rounded out the Buffs' scoring trio.
In the team relay on Friday, McDonald, Clark and August combined for a sixth-place finish.
The Buffs tied with SCAD Atlanta with 168 points in the team omnium standings. Colorado Mesa took home the team title with first-place finishes in all three disciples.
Milligan cycling turns its attention to road cycling in the spring 2024 semester.
