Milligan places eighth at MTB national championships

DURANGO, Colo. (October 17, 2022) – The Milligan University cycling team placed eighth at the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships at Purgatory Ski Resort in Colorado.

The Buffs' top performance came in the team relay as Marjie Bemis, Adin Papell and Brody McDonald earned a spot on the podium with a third-place finish.

Bemis led Milligan's women's contingent at MTB nationals with a sixth-place finish in the women's short track event and a ninth-place showing in the women's cross country race.

Genevieve Plum competed in four different events and finished 11th in the women's individual omnium.

Elijah Johnson appeared in four events and finished eighth in the men's individual omnium standings.

Milligan cycling turns its attention to the USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships in December.
