10 Buffs to compete in MTB national championships in Colorado

MILLIGAN, Tenn. (October 12, 2022) – The Milligan University cycling team is sending nine men and two women to Durango, Colo. to compete in the 2022 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike Championships Oct. 13-16.

The duo of Marjie Bemis and Genevieve Plum make up Milligan's women's pairing headed to Purgatory Resort in Colorado. Trevor August, James Berkheimer, Asa Holiday, Elijah Johnson, Brody McDonald, Adin Papell, Ethan Sanchez and Matthew Spong.

Last year, Milligan finished eighth overall at MTB nationals. The Buffs' team relay notched a fourth-place finish. Bemis recorded three top-10 finishes in the cross country and trail races. Johnson finished eight in the men's individual omnium.
