Megan Jastrab and Ama Nsek win national titles as Cycling finishes third at Road Nationals

AUGUSTA, Ga. (May 8, 2022) – On the final day of the 2022 USA Cycling Collegiate Road National Championships, Megan Jastrab the Women's Criterium and Women's Omnium national titles and Ama Nsek captured the Men's Criterium crown as the Buffs finished third overall at the national championships.

Jastrab became Milligan's all-time leader in national championships as she earned her fifth and sixth titles. She swept all four points sprints in the Women's Omnium and took the win in 1:09:58. Her performance also clinched the top spot in the Women's Omnium with 188 points.

Madeline Bemis was 13th and Marjie Bemis finished 16th in the 42-rider field.

Nsek made history as Milligan's first men's cycling event national champion as he claimed Men's Criterium national title. He edged the competition in a sprint to the finish in 1:18:58. Isaac Bryant finished 10th and went on to earn a spot on the podium in the Men's Omnium with a fifth-place finish.

Jastrab earned four national championships over the course of the weekend. On Friday, she teamed with Madeline Bemis, Marjie Bemis and Madelline Mendoza to win the Women's Team Time Trial. On Saturday, she was victorious in the Women's Road Race before taking the Women's Criterium and Omnium on Sunday.

In the final Team Omnium standings, Milligan finished with 411 points, good for a spot on the team podium in third place overall. The Buffs totaled five national championships at the event, doubling the program's all-time event national titles count (10).
