Milligan Cycling finishes eighth at Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships

DURANGO, Colo. (October 17, 2021) – The Milligan University cycling team wrapped up its weekend at the USA Cycling's Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships at Purgatory Ski Resort in Colorado.

The Buffs finished eighth overall in the team omnium standings with 378 points on the weekend. Colorado Mesa took home the team national championship.

In the men's downhill race on Sunday, Matthew Spong finished 18th at 5:56.53 and Elijah Johnson crossed 30th in 6:15.36.

Johnson finished eighth in the men's individual omnium for the weekend.

The Buffs' team relay unit of Kyle Tiesler, Marjie Bemis and Brody McDonald earned a podium appearance with a fourth-place finish.
