LEBANON, Tenn. (March 12, 2024) - The Milligan University baseball team was kept off the basepaths for much of the day as host Cumberland University (Tenn.) recorded an 11-0 outcome on Tuesday.

LEBANON, Tenn. (March 12, 2024) - The Milligan University baseball team was kept off the basepaths for much of the day as host Cumberland University (Tenn.) recorded an 11-0 outcome on Tuesday.
The Buffaloes were limited to two hits, and the Phoenix pitching staff issued only three walks.
Meanwhile, Cumberland came out of the gate hot as it scored six runs in the first and added another run in the second for a 7-0 cushion. The Phoenix closed out the game with a four-run seventh.
Vincente Mendoza was the lone Buffalo to reach base multiple times as he went 1-of-2 at the plate with a walk to his credit. Angel Lobo collected the Buffaloes' other base hit.
Milligan (16-7 overall) returns to action on Friday when it hosts the University of Pikeville (Ky.) in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play. The teams will play a single, nine-inning game on Friday at 3 p.m. with the doubleheader set for Saturday at 12 p.m.
