Braden Spano honored as AAC Player of the Week

WALESKA, Ga. (February 26, 2024) – Milligan University senior first baseman Braden Spano has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.

Spano went 9-18 at the plate as the Buffs went 4-0 last week against Johnson and Kentucky Christian.

Spano had an RBI double in Milligan's 13-2 win over Johnson.

In Milligan's conference-opening series at Kentucky Christian, Spano hit two home runs, drove in a dozen runs and scored five times. He went 4-5 in the series opener with a home run. In the series finale Spano had three hits, a home run, a double and racked up six RBI.

Spano ranks fourth in the AAC with 21 hits and 10th in the conference with 15 runs batted in.

Milligan baseball returns to action this weekend with another AAC series at (RV) Bryan.
