Andrei Beal named AAC Pitcher of the Week

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (April 11, 2022) – Milligan University sophomore Andrei Beal was honored as the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

Beal struck out eight batters and allowed just one hit in six shutout innings for the Buffs in a 6-4 victory at Johnson (Tenn.) on Sunday.

Beal has emerged as one of the top pitchers in the AAC as he ranks top in the conference in wins (8), strikeouts (93) and earned run average (2.24). He leads the conference with 13.87 strikeouts per nine innings and has limited opponents to a .118 batting average. Beal is on the cusp of setting the Buffs' all-time single-season strikeout record this spring.
