JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 13, 2021) – Brock Browning struck out 10 in a strong pitching performance of game one and the rest of the story was on the offensive end as the Milligan University baseball team put on a clinic with 25 hits in two easy wins over Kentucky Christian University Saturday at TVA Credit Union Ballpark.
Milligan won the Appalachian Athletic Conference series with a sweep of the doubleheader, 15-3 and 6-1, to improve to 13-9 (5-3 AAC).
Game One | Milligan 15, Kentucky Christian 3
Milligan trailed early but Browning settled in after a rough first and the Buffs' offense quickly came to life. Three runs across the first three innings put Milligan on top, then after KCU tied the game in the top of the fourth, the Buffs scored 12 runs over their next three frames to pull way away.
Anthony Guzman had an RBI single in the fourth followed by a two-RBI single from Braden Spano.
Guzman got the scoring going in the fifth with an RBI, then Chancery Hall doubled home two runs to make it 10-3.
It was all extra-base hits in the sixth as Robert Salcedo doubled in one run before coming home on a Guzman two-run homer. Hall followed two-batters later with a two-run homer himself.
Guzman finished the game 4-for-4 with four RBI's and three runs while Hall went 3-for-4 with four RBI's and two runs. Salcedo went 3-for-4 with one RBI and three runs.

Game Two | Milligan 6, Kentucky Christian 1
Kentucky Christian again took the early lead with a run in the top of the first, but it would be the only run Cobey Allison would allow the rest of the game.
Milligan surged into the lead with a sixth-run fourth to help seal the win and sweep of the doubleheader. Casey Haire got the scoring going on a one-out single, scoring two. It made it 2-1, Milligan, and Augustus Fraley and Guzman both provided two-RBI base hits later in the inning to make it 6-1.
