2000 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | TONYA BAILEY JENKINS
Tonya Bailey Jenkins is a 1994 honors graduate of Milligan College where she was also a standout athlete. She was on the basketball team and is a member of its 1,000-point club. She was also a scholarship recipient for softball and played for four years with the Lady Buffaloes from 1991-1994. Tonya received many accolades during her years at Milligan which include: Presidential Scholarship, Dean's List, Scholastic All-American, USAA All-American Scholar, Academic All-American for two years, Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities and she also received the National Collegiate Education Award.
Today, Tonya teaches physical education at Jonesborough Elementary and is the girls' softball coach. She has also coached basketball and volleyball at Daniel Boone and Sulphur Springs.
Tonya recently celebrated the sixth wedding anniversary with her husband, Jaymie, with whom they have a beautiful three-year-old daughter, Jaclyn. They all attend Boone Trail Baptist Church in Boones Creek where Tonya works with the preschool department and the Team Kid Discipleship Training Program.
