2008 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | SCOTT SHEALY
Scott Shealy is a 2003 graduate of Milligan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a minor in economics.
A student at Milligan from 1999 to 2003, Scott was a standout on the baseball field and holds numerous Buffs baseball records. For a single game, Scott holds a tied record for the most doubles with three. His honors for an individual baseball season include the most hits, at 82; the most runs scored, at 61; and the most walks, at 41.
His individual career record includes a tie for the highest career batting average, 274-for-725 (.373 average). He also holds the record for the most career hits, 274; the most career runs, 193; and the most career stolen bases, 61. Scott was an All-Region baseball team member in 2001 to 2003 and was an All-American honorable mention in 2002. Scott’s coach, Danny Clark, characterized Scott as a strong, quiet leader who led by example.
Today, Scott lives in Erwin, Tennessee, and attends Jenny Moore Memorial Presbyterian Church. He recently completed an associate of applied science degree in non-invasive cardiovascular technology from Northeast State Technical Community College. He is employed by Tri-State Cardiology in Johnson City where he is able to blend his business expertise with his newly acquired cardiac technology skills.
