2014 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | MEGAN ALDRIDGE HARMON
Megan Aldridge Harmon graduated from Milligan in 2007 with a degree in human performance and exercise science and K-12 physical education licensure. She played multiple sports in high school—soccer, basketball and softball—but at Milligan she chose to devote her full efforts to softball.
On the field, Megan maintained a career batting average of .312 which included batting .374 during her senior season. Megan had 134 career RBI’s, 80 career extra-base hits and finished her four years at Milligan with a slugging percentage of .547. She hit 16 home runs in 2007, her last season, and finished with a record 32 home runs for her career.
In 2006, she was named All-Conference. In 2007, she was again named All-Conference, in addition to earning the title of AAC Player of the Year and NAIA Region Player of the Year. Milligan named her 2007 Athlete of the year, and the college’s board of advisors named her the 2007 Outstanding Female Athlete.
In June of 2011, Megan married fellow Milligan alumnus Tyler Harmon. In 2013, they became the proud parents Jeffrey Tyler, “JT,” who is here tonight with them. Megan is the head women’s soccer coach at Science Hill High School, and she teaches physical education at Indian Trail Intermediate School in Johnson City.
Join me in congratulating Megan for her induction into the 2014 Milligan College Athletics Hall of Fame.
