2010HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | ANDREA HENRIOTT BREECE
Andrea Henriott Breece graduated from Milligan in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. While enduring the rigors of the nursing program, she also played softball.
Andrea was a standout player—shortstop—and she was ranked among Milligan’s top three softball players. She was four times an All-Conference player and twice an NAIA All-Regional player. She was voted team MVP two times.
During her career, Andrea recorded a .393 batting average and a slugging percentage of .562. She had an on-base percentage of .466, and scored 110 runs during her time at Milligan. Defensively, Andrea recorded an outstanding fielding percentage of .965.
Andrea is married to Danny Breece, Jr., Milligan class of 2001, and they have two children: Hunter, age 4 and Layla, age 1. Following graduation from Milligan, Andrea relocated to Shelby, North Carolina, where she began working as an RN for Cleveland Regional Medical Center. In 2005, she and Danny returned to her hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida, where she began working at Bayfront Medical Center as an RN.
Since 2005 she has continued to advance her nursing credentials, earning certifications in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, and critical care nursing. She has also been certified as a charge nurse and is a progressive care certified nurse. Last year she was certified as a critical care nurse level 3.
It is with great pride that we induct Andrea Henriott Breece into the Milligan College Athletics Hall of Fame.
