Sanders and Jessee Join Milligan University Sports Medicine
MILLIGAN, Tenn. – The Milligan University Sports Medicine department has added a pair of new staff members to the fold for the 2024-25 schoolyear. Megan Sanders, ATC, LAT has taken the Assistant Athletic Trainer role, while Sydnee Jessee becomes the Buffs' Rehab Technician.
Sanders comes to Milligan after spending time at Illinois Bone and Joint Institute (2018-21, 2024), as well as the Head Athletic Trainer at NAIA institution Trinity International University (Ill.) (2021-23).
In her time at those employers, she worked with rehabilitating athletes in many sports, including football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, cross country, track & field, softball and hockey. She possesses a Bachelor of Arts in athletic training from Trinity International. She now resides in Jonesborough.
Jessee graduated from Union Commonwealth College (Ky.) with a Master's of Science in athletic training in May, while earning her Bachelor of Science in exercise science one year prior from Union Commonwealth.
During her time as a student at Union, she served on three different rotations, the first of which came at the school in a sports clinical rotation with the Bulldogs athletics programs. She then was part of an immersive rotation at UVA Wise where she was a part of football, women's lacrosse and basketball athletic training. Most recently, she assisted Knox Central HS in Barbourville, Ky. with their basketball and wrestling programs. Jessee lives in Gate City, Va.
The two new Buffs are certain to make an impact on the well-being and preparation of Milligan's student-athletes.
