Milligan achieves top score as Champions of Character® Five-Star Award winner for 2022-23
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (August 15, 2023) – The Milligan University Athletic Department was recognized as an NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Award winner with a perfect score for the third time in the last four years.
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (August 15, 2023) – The Milligan University Athletic Department was recognized as an NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Gold Award winner with a perfect score for the third time in the last four years.
To achieve a gold award, an institution must score 90 or above on the Champions of Character Scorecard for that academic year. The Champions of Character Scorecard categories include character training, academic focus, character recognition, character promotion and conduct in competition.
Milligan was one of 27 institutions to achieve a perfect score of 100 on the Champions of Character scorecard. This marks the fourth academic year that Milligan has achieved a perfect score.
All 16 full-time members of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) schools, eight collected Five-Star Gold status for the 2022-23. As a conference, the AAC was named a 2022-23 Champions of Character Five-Star Conference. Milligan was joined by Bryan, Columbia (S.C.), Kentucky Christian, Truett McConnell and Union as Gold Five-Star honorees with perfect scores.
