Volleyball advances in AAC tourney behind Gregory’s 21 kills
Carley Gregory completed a career day with 21 kills, among them two kills in Milligan’s final three points of the match, and the Milligan University volleyball team upset Union in four sets Wednesday evening in the quarterfinals of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament. Milligan won 25-22, 25-23, 26-28, 27-25.

The Milligan University women’s volleyball team is set to compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament this week at the MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport. Action is set to be under way Wednesday with the Buffs’ first match scheduled for 4 p.m.

Two of the hottest volleyball teams in the Appalachian Athletic Conference met Monday night in a rescheduled contest at Truett McConnell. Carley Gregory led the way with 12 kills, but Milligan University fell in three straights, 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.

Carley Gregory led the way with 13 kills as the Milligan University women’s volleyball team won its ninth straight match Saturday on the road, defeating Bluefield in four sets, 25-19, 25-14, 22-25, 25-18.

Buffs make it eight straight wins
Carley Gregory set a new career high of 22 kills and needed just four sets to do it, as the Milligan University women’s volleyball team won its eighth straight match, 19-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-16, Tuesday night at Montreat. The victory saw the Buffaloes (11-4) complete the season sweep over Montreat after winning in straight sets at home earlier in October.
