WALESKA, Ga. - Milligan University women's soccer's Akyla Walcott was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference's (AAC) Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. Her efforts in Sunday evening's 0-0 tie with the Johnson University Royals earned her the plaudits.

Walcott stopped all seven shots on goal in the effort, including a pair of highly skillful rejections. Each of those saves happened within a five-minute span, helping the Buffaloes to a conference draw to salvage a point in the standings.
