Five Buffs part of record-breaking scholar-athlete list
Allison Davidson, Brianna Snyder, Kelsey Linn, Kirstan Beaver and Madison Grindstaff of the 2019 Milligan College softball team represented the Buffs on the 2018-19 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athletes list, the association announced Wednesday afternoon.
MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Oct. 3, 2019) – Allison Davidson, Brianna Snyder, Kelsey Linn, Kirstan Beaver and Madison Grindstaff of the 2019 Milligan College softball team represented the Buffs on the 2018-19 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athletes list, the association announced Wednesday afternoon. The list, which calls for a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and junior or higher academic status, featured a record 8,161 student-athletes across all levels of competition.
These five Buffs all earned Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition in addition, and helped the softball team earn a team GPA of 3.47, making the NAIA Scholar-Team list.
On the season, the Buffs went 22-18 (16-10 Appalachian Athletic Conference) and made a push in the conference tournament which saw them contend for the postseason championship. Milligan has qualified for the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round two of the last four seasons.
