Men's volleyball looking to wrap up another successful season
With one game left in the season, the Milligan men's volleyball team looks to pick up one final win, its third in a row, for its seniors against the University of Tennessee club team on Sunday, April 9.

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 22, 2017)- With one game left in the season, the Milligan College men's volleyball team looks to pick up one final win, its third in a row, for its seniors against the University of Tennessee club team on Sunday, April 9.
So far this season, the Buffs have an impressive 6-4-2 record with wins over NCAA Division I opponents Appalachian State and the University of Mississippi. In both matches, the Buffs swept their competition with a 2-0 and 3-0 victory respectively. Senior Hobie Vannoy recorded 69 assists total in both matches with 49 assists against Appalachian State. Three Buffs reached double figures in kills against Appalachian State, as well. Jacob Smith recorded a team high 21 kills followed by Nathan Gibson with 15 and Luke Dove with 11.
Throughout the season, the seniors set the standard and led the team across the board. Vannoy led the team in assists averaging 27.25 assists per match, and recording a season high 49 in a single match. Gibson took charge leading the team in kills with an average of 10.25 kills per match, recording a season high 17 in a single match.
The Buffs look to continue their win streak on Sunday, April 9, as they host the University of Tennessee club team at 3 p.m., where seniors Vannoy, Gibson, Smith and Joshua Foote will play their final match as a Buffalo.
