Men's volleyball suffers sweep at Lees-McRae
In the second match in program history, the Milligan College men's volleyball team lost to Lees-McRae College 25-16, 25-19, 25-12 Tuesday evening at Williams Gymnasium.

BANNER ELK, N.C. (Feb. 11, 2014) – In the second match in program history, the Milligan College men's volleyball team lost to Lees-McRae College 25-16, 25-19, 25-12 Tuesday evening at Williams Gymnasium.
Milligan was led by Tony Miner's eight kills, but the Buffaloes struggled to find any rhythm as a team on offense. For the match, the squad hit -.014, and only two Buffaloes registered more than two kills. Bryce Buckland had four.
Freshman setter Hobie Vannoy tallied 13 assists on the night, including six which came in the tightly-contested middle game. After dropping the first game 25-16, Milligan led early on in game two and looked poised to knot things up at a game apiece, but LMC used a 6-0 run to break a 12-12 tie and ultimately secure the second set.
Miner's eight kills came alongside seven digs and a blocking assist.
Milligan will take a trip to Dayton, Tenn., on Saturday, Feb. 15 for a pair of matches against Bryan College and the Tennessee Volunteers. The Buffs will be at home the following Saturday for a match against Bryan.
