Buffs finish second at tri-meet
The Milligan College swim team took second at the Milligan, King, Lees-McRae tri-meet Saturday in Bristol, Tennessee.

BRISTOL, Tenn. (Oct. 6, 2018) – The Milligan College swim team took second at the Milligan, King, Lees-McRae tri-meet Saturday in Bristol, Tennessee. Overall, the Buffaloes defeated Lees-McRae 230 to 132, but fell to King 219.5 to 173.5.
Margaret Halloran, Sara Farmer and Lindsey Grow highlighted the meet on the women's side winning the 1,000 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke respectively. Farmer also placed second in the 50 freestyle.
Junior Sterling Burnett led the men taking home first in the 100 backstroke and second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:05. Matthew McFalls finished second in the 50 freestyle and Isaac Etherton placed second in the 100 butterfly to round out the top performers for Milligan.

The Buffs will be back in the pool Friday, Oct. 26, as they travel to Sewanee, Tennessee, for the Sewanee Invitational. Milligan will then travel to Emory & Henry for a matchup with the Wasps Nov. 3.
