Men’s golf finishes season seventh at direct qualifier
Three Buffaloes landed in the top 30, and the Milligan University men’s golf team capped the 2020-21 season with a seventh-place result at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Spring Championship/NAIA Direct Qualifier Tuesday at Barnsley Gardens Resort.

Milligan, Liggett lead Buffs through final round of home tournament
Caleb Milligan and Jonathan Liggett both shot rounds in the 60’s, the only rounds in the 60’s during the event, to lead the Milligan University men’s golf team to a victory of the Mountain Empire Intercollegiate Tuesday at Elizabethton Golf Club.

Mathis, Buffs in lead after one round of home tournament
Brandon Mathis has the individual lead and Milligan University has the team lead at the Mountain Empire Intercollegiate, hosted by Milligan at Elizabethton Golf Club. Mathis’ 2 over par 74 leads the field by one stroke as teams wrapped up the first round of action on Monday.

Men’s golf takes third at Agnes McAmis Memorial Invitational
A strong opening day helped the Milligan University men’s golf team finish high on the leaderboard at the Agnes McAmis Memorial Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Graysburg Hills Golf Club. Milligan finished behind two NCAA Division II schools, including host Tusculum.

Buffs open spring at rain-shortened Cherokee Valley Invite
Jonathan Liggett and Brandon Hammond earned spots in the top 25 to lead the Milligan University men’s golf team to an eighth-place finish at the Cherokee Valley Invitational Monday at Cherokee Valley Golf and Country Club. Teams were originally scheduled to play a second round on Tuesday, but rainy weather forced the event to be called after day one.

Men’s golf finishes fall at Sea Island Intercollegiate
Dane Rheinecker’s 14th-place finish led the Milligan University men’s golf team Monday and Tuesday at the ninth annual Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational, the team’s final event of the fall semester. The Buffs landed seventh overall behind six teams inside or near the national top 25, including two of the top three teams in the country.

Men’s golf takes seventh at AAC Fall Championship
With Dane Rheinecker out front, the Milligan University men’s golf team claimed seventh place at the 2020 Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Championship, held Monday and Tuesday at Barnsley Gardens Resort. The field featured several NAIA top-25 teams, including two top-five teams.

Dane Rheinecker carded rounds of 78 and 75 to finish 22nd overall and lead the Milligan University men’s golf team at the Music City Invitational, hosted by Cumberland University Monday and Tuesday at Twelve Stones Golf Club.

Men’s golf looking good through opening round at JCCC
Jonathan Liggett fired a 73, and the Milligan University men’s golf team opened the 2020-21 season with a 304 on day one of the East Tennessee Collegiate, held at Johnson City Country Club Monday under a clear and sunny sky.
