MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (July 17, 2019) -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the seventh annual Team Academic Excellence Awards and 2018-19 NABC Honors Court, recognizing those men's collegiate basketball teams and student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The NABC recognized the Milligan College men's basketball team with the team honor. "This is an exciting end to a great year for Milligan men's basketball," Head Coach Bill Robinson said. "We won 22 games, we had the AAC player of the year (Levarity), and now to be recognized for academic achievement just makes it an overall fantastic season."
These NABC awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2018-19 season. Individuals on the list must be varsity players who have achieved junior or higher academic standing, maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the academic year, and matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
