Levarity to compete in NAIA All-Star game
Milligan College senior Aaron Levarity, the Appalachian Athletic Conference player of the year and a two-time NAIA All-America selection, will play in the NAIA Men's Basketball All-Star Game Tuesday night. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EDT at Municipal Arena in Kansas City.
Levarity earned a spot on the east team, a 15-man roster consisting of the top players from both divisions I and II. Levarity led Milligan this season with 19.3 points and 12.6 rebounds per game, the only player in the AAC with double digits in rebounding.
"I am so excited for Aaron for the opportunity to be a part of this event," Head Coach Bill Robinson said. "The NAIA All-Star game is a big deal and something he has certainly earned. His schedule this week will include some clinics, team meals and an autograph session tonight between the two semifinal games. He is so excited and ready. It is a great honor for him and our program."
Levarity, from Freeport, Bahamas, ranked in the top five in NAIA this season in four rebounding categories, including No. 2 in offensive rebounds per game. He earned All-AAC first team status and AAC All-Academic status for the third time in his three-year Milligan career.
