Fifteen Buffs honored as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes
Fifteen members of Milligan College's winter sports teams have been recognized as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, announced the NAIA office. Milligan claimed eight for women's basketball, four for men's basketball, two for women's swimming and one for men's swimming.

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 12, 2019) – Fifteen members of Milligan College's winter sports teams have been recognized as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, announced the NAIA office. Milligan claimed eight for women's basketball, four for men's basketball, two for women's swimming and one for men's swimming.
Milligan's honorees were:
Women's Basketball – Cassidy Anderson, Hannah Crowder, Kasey Gordon, Andi Lamb, Mackenzie Raizor, Savannah Raizor, Sarah Robinson and Hannah Rodgers
Men's Basketball – Desean Green, Alex Jones, Tyler Nichols and Bo Pless
Women's Swimming – Sara Farmer and Anna Hathcock
Men's Swimming – Connor Whitson
Milligan ranked third with eight members of the women's basketball team earning the honor.
Additionally, this brought the total number of Milligan student-athletes to receive the honor this season to 32, as 17 Buffaloes earned the distinction for fall seasons.
In order to be named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, each student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
