2017 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | HANNAH SEGRAVE
Hannah Segrave achieved one of the most remarkable careers in the history of Milligan College athletics. A 2017 Milligan alumna, Segrave won four NAIA national championship titles during her intercollegiate running career while earning three NAIA national championship runners-up. Segrave was an eight-time NAIA All-American, 13-time NAIA national qualifier, and three-time NAIA runner of the week. She broke two Appalachian Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships records, three Milligan cross-country records, and eight Milligan track records.
The 800 meter run was Segrave’s signature race as she won this event four times nationally: indoor and outdoor in 2016 and 2017.
In 2017, Segrave ranked No. 1 in NAIA at indoor 600 meters, indoor and outdoor 800 meters, and outdoor 1500 meters. In the state of Tennessee in 2017, Segrave was the top collegian over 1500 meters. Segrave received a special proclamation by the Tennessee State Senate for her athletic accomplishments in April of 2017.
On top of her running career as a Milligan student, Segrave competed successfully at the international stage. A native of Middlesbrough, United Kingdom, Segrave was a 2017 British World Championship Trials finalist, 2017 European U-23 Bronze Medalist, and 2016 British Olympic Trials Qualifier.
For her unprecedented success as a Milligan student-athlete, Milligan took the unprecedented step of waiving its five-year post-graduation requirement for consideration into the Milligan Athletics Hall of Fame. Milligan inducted Segrave into its Athletics Hall of Fame in the fall of 2017.
