Volleyball earns 20th win with AAC sweep at Pikeville
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (October 21, 2023) – The Milligan University volleyball team earned its 20th victory of the season with a 3-0 sweep at Pikeville on Saturday morning.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (October 21, 2023) – The Milligan University volleyball team earned its 20th victory of the season with a 3-0 sweep at Pikeville on Saturday morning.
The Buffs hit the 20-win mark for the first time since 2019 and the sixth time under head coach Doneva Bays. Milligan's record now stands at 20-6 and 14-2 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play. Pikeville falls to 17-8, 9-8 AAC. Milligan's nine-game winning streak is the squad's longest since 2020.
The Buffs won in straight sets with scores of 25-19, 25-20 and 25-18.
Avery Maiden and Taylor Pavich had a dozen kills apiece. Shelby Miller added seven kills. Ella Maiden had six kills and five solo blocks.
Kolbie Greene distributed 34 assists and had nine digs. Zoie Larkins posted 11 digs and Riley Brinn added 10.
The Buffs recorded 42 kills on a .286 hitting percentage while Pikeville had 27 kills at a .099 clip.
Milligan hosts Kentucky Christian on Tuesday evening for the Buffs' annual Dig Pink game.
