Taylor Dawson, Emma True and Makenna Wilkins named CSC Academic All-District

MILLIGAN, Tenn. (November 21, 2023) – A trio of Milligan University women's soccer players were tabbed as Academic All-District selections by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

Graduate defender Taylor Dawson, junior defender Emma True and senior defender Makenna Wilkins each collected Academic All-District honors.

Dawson finished her career as Milligan's all-time leader in starts (81) as a five-year starter. As a senior, she scored in a pair of AAC wins over CIU and Union. She earned Academic All-District honors last season, graduated from Milligan last spring as a business administration major with a 3.86 grade-point average and is pursuing an MBA at Milligan.

True is a three-year contributor along Milligan's back line with 31 career starters. She recorded a career-high three assists in 2023. A mathematics major, True maintains a 3.91 cumulative GPA.

Wilkins finished her Milligan career as a three-year starter on the Buffs' back line. She started 19 games and had two assists this fall. A biology major with a 3.57 GPA, Wilkins is a repeat Academic All-District selection.

The Buffs finished with a 10-9-1 record for the program's sixth winning season in the last seven years. Milligan posted an 8-6 conference record and earned the No. 7 seed in the conference tournament. The Buffs reached the quarterfinal round of the AAC Tournament.
