Milligan Women's Golf Soars to No. 10 in NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Rating - No. 1
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On Thursday afternoon, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the first regular-season edition of the NAIA Women's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Rating. As part of the rating, Milligan improved their standing from No. 15 in the preseason, to No. 10 in the latest version of the poll. The rating was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences. The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each rater ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second-place and so on through the list.
The Buffs amassed 292 points in the rating, and have had an impressive fall, finishing first or second in all four tournaments/match play events that thy have competed in. They have two tournament titles at the East Tennessee Collegiate and the Barton Fall Intercollegiate, and had spectacular match-play wins at Gibson Bay Match Play over now No. 7 Dalton State and No. 17 Truett McConnell.
