LOUISVILLE, Ky. – This summer, the Milligan University softball program had 13 honorees named to the 2023-24 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athletes list. Athletes who achieve a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale are recognized as NFCA Scholar Athletes.

Alana Parsons (3.76), Alexis Brown (3.96), Faith Caldwell (3.83), Hadley York (4.00), Haley Vigil (3.76), Hannah Bates (3.96), Jaylyn Halliburton (3.90), Layney Loyd (3.66), Maggie Johnson (3.80), Marissa Casstevens (3.95), Mia Grassee (3.96), Stephanie Steele (3.67) and Wheatley York (4.00) earned the plaudits with impressive years in the classroom.

In addition to the individual student-athletes who earned recognition, the entire squad combined to meet a 3.56 cumulative GPA in 2023-24. That is an improvement from an already stellar 3.39 in 2022-23.
