Men’s Tennis wins 5-2 at SCAD Atlanta

ATLANTA (March 31, 2023) – The Milligan University tennis teams squared off with SCAD Atlanta at the Bitsy Grant Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. The Buffs' men won 5-2 while the women fell to the No. 21 Bees 5-2.

Milligan's men moved to 10-10 on the season and 6-3 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play. The Buffs' women are now 8-9, 4-4 AAC.

Milligan took the doubles point in the men's match with wins at first and second doubles and a forfeit at third doubles. Nathan Smiley and Marcos Moreno won 7-5 at No. 1 doubles. Derian Janeke and Ryan Thomas took a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles.

The Bees won the women's double point with win at first and third doubles. Kylie Enarson and Macy Kennedy won at second doubles 6-4.

Thomas won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Moreno triumphed 6-1, 6-0 at fourth singles. The Buffs took forfeit wins at fifth and sixth singles to clinch the 5-2 victory.

Camryn Rossa and Heather Graf both earned three-set victories in singles play in the women's match. Rossa won 6-4, 0-6, 6-1 and Graf emerged victorious 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Enarson went three sets but fell 4-6, 6-1, 7-5. Kennedy had both sets go to tiebreakers in a 7-6, 7-6 defeat at fifth singles.
