Liggett, Rheinecker leading Buffs at JC Country Club

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 30, 2019) – Jonathan Liggett, Dane Rheinecker, and the Milligan College men's golf team are in contention for the lead after the first day of the East Tennessee Collegiate Monday at Johnson City Country Club.

Liggett carded a 73 while Rheinecker shot a 74 to rank sixth and seventh on the individual leaderboard. Milligan, third as a team, shot 303, 10 strokes off the lead and four strokes out of second place.

Also competing for the Buffs are Nick Brock (74) and Samuel Prater (77) as individuals, and  Caleb Milligan (78) and David Lang (78) who all shot in the 70's. 

Round two is set for Tuesday, and teams will begin play with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. back here at Johnson City Country Club. After that, the Buffs compete at the Bojangles Fall Classic Championship, hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan University Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 12-13, in Vonore, Tennessee.
