Milligan falls to 8-10 on the season in 8-8 in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play. Bryan moves to 11-9, 9-8 AAC as the Buffs and Lions split the season series with both teams winning at home.
The contest featured five lead changes in the opening five minutes with Milligan holding a 12-10 edge before Bryan made three treys during an 11-0 run that gave the hosts a 21-12 lead with 12:40 left in the half.
The Lions led 31-19 with six minutes to play in the first half before Milligan reeled off 10-straight points with Follie Bogan draining a three and converting a three-point play in the spurt. Bogan's three with 1:37 left in the half trimmed the margin to 36-34. Bryan led 39-36 at the halftime break.
Bogan scored five points on two possessions early in the second half to cut the margin to one (42-41) but the Buffs were not able to take the lead as Bryan scored the next six points. Following a 13-2 Bryan run the Lions led by 16 (63-47) with 9:12 remaining in the half.
Milligan was unable to claw back within single digits the rest of the way. A Jay Hickman three with 2:21 made the score 80-70 but Bryan made a pair of fouls shots on the game's next possession.
Bogan had 28 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals. Finn McClure added 18 points.
Milligan hosts Truett McConnell on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
