The Buffs are off to their best start in Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play since 2014 as Milligan moves to 4-2 in league play, 4-4 overall. KCU falls to 3-5, 1-3 AAC.
Milligan's 111 point total is the most in a single game since 2008, matching the highest scoring output for the team in the 21st century.
The Buffs shot 66.2 percent (43-65) from the field and 54.5 percent (12-22) from three in the win and had three 20-point scorers.
Follie Bogan, Jaz Johnson and McCaskill Rivers each had 20 points. Lincoln Thomae added 14 points, nine rebounds and three assists.
The game was tied at two and four in the early going but the Buffs led for 37:40 of the game's 40 minutes and never trailed.
The Buffs outrebounded KCU 42-27, had 29 fast break points and 62 bench points in the victory. Milligan had 26 assists on 43 made baskets with 10 different players registering at least one assist.
Milligan travels to Reinhardt on Saturday afternoon.
