14 cyclists bound for USA Collegiate Track National Championships
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (September 12, 2023) – The Milligan University cycling team is sending 14 riders to Trexlertown, Pa. to compete at the USA Collegiate Cycling Track National Championships this week. The Buffs have six men and eight women entered to compete at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.
MILLIGAN, Tenn. (September 12, 2023) – The Milligan University cycling team is sending 14 riders to Trexlertown, Pa. to compete at the USA Collegiate Cycling Track National Championships this week. The Buffs have six men and eight women entered to compete at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center.
Trevor August, Anthony Bailey, Asa Holliday, Brody McDonald, Adin Papell and William Seitz are the Buffs' men's contingent at T-Town. Samantha Clark, Gabriella Cedillos-Dixon, Morgan Johnston, Julia Kwasnick, Makayla MacPherson, Sammi Maldonado, Madelline Mendoza and Miriam Zeise are set to compete on the women's side.
Last fall Milligan placed third at the track national championship with 10 podium finishes and four top-three finishes. Brody McDonald and Makayla MacPherson led the Buffs with five podium appearances each over the three-day event. McDonald earned a silver medal in the scratch race and finished fourth overall in the men's individual pursuit. MacPherson claimed a bronze medal in the women's scratch race and took fourth in the women's points race.
