Bio

Dr. Trini Rangel became Milligan's Faculty Athletic Representative at Milligan in summer 2022. He has served as an associate professor of exercise science at Milligan since 2014 and was tenured in Fall 2017. 

Rangel earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science from Colorado State in 1991, a Master's of Education from Bemidji State in 1996 and his Ph.D. in health psychology from Walden University in 2016. 

Before Milligan, Rangel spent 16 at Houghton College in New York. He spent 10 years as an instructor of physical education and six years as an assistant professor of physical and health education. He also assisted the Highlander's men's basketball team for four seasons and the men's and women's track teams for six years.

Trini and his wife Barbara have four children. Their oldest daughter Tierza was a four-year volleyball player at Grove City College. THeir son Chase played basketball and tennis at Houghton, and their youngest two daughters Janae adn Eliana gradated from Milligan.
