2008 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | WENDY WEAVER
Wendy Weaver is a 2003 graduate of Milligan College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and her certification to teach at the secondary level.
A student at Milligan from 1999 to 2003, Wendy played volleyball and started as an outside hitter her entire college career. She was a member of the All-Conference team all four years and the All-Region team in her last two seasons. Weaver led the Buffs to a 28-17 record in her final season. That year, the Buffs finished third in the regular season, runner-up in the conference tournament and qualified for the regional tournament in Louisville, Kentucky. Weaver led the team in kills, service aces and total attack percentage. She finished second in digs and third in blocks for the Buffs. In 2003, Wendy was named the Milligan College female athlete of the year.
Today, Wendy lives in Fairburn, Georgia, and attends Southwest Christian Church in East Point, Georgia. She teaches World and US History at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Georgia. She is also the current head volleyball coach at the school. In 2007, Wendy led her team to become the Georgia High School Athletic Association 4A State Champions, an honor which helped earn her the 2007 Georgia High School Athletic Association 4A Volleyball Coach of the Year.
When she is not coaching her high school team, Wendy enjoys coaching the Tsunami Volleyball Club where, under her direction, the team has earned numerous regional and national honors.
Serving a strong enthusiasm for the sport of volleyball, we are honored to induct Wendy Weaver into the Athletics Hall of Fame.
