2002 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | TOM MUSICK
Tom (or Tommy) Musick played basketball at Milligan from 1987-1991. He is the second all-time leading scorer with 2,768 points, trailing only Charles “Toonie” Cash who scored 2,989.
Musick averaged 19.8 points per game over four years and holds the record for 3-pointers in a game with nine, set during the 1989-90 season. In one game as a freshman, Musick scored over 40 points.
Musick led the Buffs to a 76-52 record during his four years, including 20-win seasons in each of his last three. In 1989, Musick and the Buffs made the Tennessee Elite Eight, and they followed the next season with 27 wins, the most for the basketball program in over 40 years.
Musick was a part of two TVAC championship teams (1990 and 1991).
Musick graduated from Milligan in 1991 with a degree in business administration. He lives he Gate City, Virginia, with his wife Caroline. They have three children: Hannah, Katie Beth, and Gracie.
