2004 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | GLENDA CONNER
Glenda Conner is a 1999 Milligan graduate. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in mathematics, she continued her education at East Tennessee State University, graduating with a master’s in educational media & technology in 2001.
When Glenda graduated, she was Milligan's all-time leading scorer in women's basketball history, with 2,868 points, and she still holds the college's single game scoring record: 47 points vs. King College in 1997.
Glenda earned All-Conference honors all four years and was Conference Player of the Year twice. She also was named All-American three years.
In her freshman season, Glenda led the nation in field goal percentage (64.6%). She was a member of three conference championship teams and made three trips to the national tournament. The team’s record during her four years at Milligan was 107-29.
This fall, Glenda began her sixth year of teaching ninth grade mathematics at Science Hill High School in Johnson City.
She and her husband Kevin (also class of ’99) live in Roan Mountain. They are members of Grace Fellowship Church in Johnson City.
