1996 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE | CHARLES "TOONIE" CASH
A native of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Charles "Toonie" Cash was a member of the Boones Creek High School basketball team before entering Milligan in 1967 where he made the All-Volunteer State Athletic Conference all four years while a Buffalo.
In 1967-68, Cash broke the record for most points in a single game (49), received the highest average per game for a year (26.9) and was named second in the nation in the Small College Division in free throws (90.1%). Cash scored a total of 2,989 points over his four-year collegiate career.
In 1971, Cash graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Milligan. In addition to his athletic involvement during college, Cash also served as pastor of Green Pine Baptist Church and went on to preach hundreds of revivals, Bible studies and Bible conferences. Today, Cash has spent more than 25 years in full-time evangelism in more than 16 states.
Cash and his wife, Judy Strouth, whom he met at Milligan, have four daughters, Alana, Leanne, Krista and Kayla.
