Steve Lacy Fieldhouse - Upper Level
Basketball/Volleyball Courts
Dedicated on Nov. 25, 1975, Steve Lacy Fieldhouse has been the home for Milligan basketball and volleyball ever since. The site has gone through numerous renovations and upgrades, most recently the installation of new light fixtures which give the gymnasium a unique ambiance. Championship banners line the walls and ceiling of the 40-year-old arena, highlighting Milligan's tradition of excellence in all sports.
For basketball, the fieldhouse features a regulation court as the centerpiece for the roughly 1,000-seat gymnasium. During practice sessions and when the Buffaloes host activities such as summer camps or clinics, portable hoops are brought in to expand the gym to two regulation courts. Come gametime, however, any extra space is filled with members of Buff Nation, who create one of the most electric atmospheres in sports.
Similar to basketball, the gym centers around one main volleyball court, but in the case of tournaments and summer camps, the gym can accommodate two additional regulation playing courts.
The top level of the fieldhouse also features additional office space for athletics staff, an aerobics room, a weight room, and classrooms to accommodate Milligan's tradition of academic success.
