94 Buffs recognized as 2019-20 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced 2019-20 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards on Tuesday, naming 94 members of Milligan University athletics teams to the list. Milligan women’s soccer led the way with 12 Buffs making the list, while men’s track & field followed as a close runner-up with 10.

MILLIGAN, Tenn. (Sept. 15, 2020) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced 2019-20 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete awards on Tuesday, naming 94 members of Milligan University athletics teams to the list. Milligan women's soccer led the way with 12 Buffs making the list, while men's track & field followed as a close runner-up with 10.

The NAIA announced the awards as part of National Awards Day.

The Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award recognizes individual student-athletes at the national level for achieving high academic success. Specifically, each individual must maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status to be honored as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
