Mark Fox, Milligan College vice president for athletics and student development, has been named Appalachian Athletic Conference Athletics Director of the Year, announced the AAC league office Monday afternoon.

Aubrey wins AAC coach of character award

Rich Aubrey of the Milligan women’s basketball team has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of Character following his 27th and final season this past semester. The AAC league office announced the award Monday afternoon.

Milligan promotes Russell to lead women’s basketball

Milligan College alumna Kylie Russell has been tabbed to lead women’s basketball following the retirement announcement of longtime head coach Rich Aubrey. Russell, who played for Aubrey from 2011 to 2015, has served as an assistant coach for the Buffaloes since 2017.

Milligan vs. USA Softball game canceled

USA Softball announced the cancelation of all originally scheduled 2020 stops on the “Stand Beside Her” tour, presented by Major League Baseball (MLB). The tour featured an exhibition game between the USA Softball Women’s National Team and Milligan College, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 30.

The first rankings for the winter Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup were announced and Milligan College was ranked the No. 12 athletic program in the NAIA after strong winter and fall performances.

Rich Aubrey steps down as women’s basketball coach

Rich Aubrey announced Tuesday he is stepping down from his role as head coach of Milligan College’s women’s basketball program. Milligan President Dr. Bill Greer announced Aubrey will succeed Brad Wallace in the role of campus minister.

Milligan honored with NAIA Five-Star Silver Award

Milligan College has been recognized again this year by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as a winner of the NAIA Champions of Character Five-Star Institution Silver Award for the 2018-19 athletic year. This is the third year in a row that Milligan has either been awarded silver or gold honors.
